Volunteer

Volunteers are a vital part of life here at PAWS. They provide undivided attention to the animals, help staff around the office and more. To join the PAWS Volunteer Program, you must attend one orientation class and turn in a completed application (App below). Orientations generally last no longer than an hour. Please contact the shelter or email PAWS to sign up for an upcoming class. *Please note: Those under 18 years of age must be accompanied by their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) at the orientation AND at all times when volunteering. A parent of a friend, grandparent or older sibling would not be acceptable as accompaniment when volunteering at PAWS, unless they are guardians appointed by the courts.

This program is designed for those wanting to regularly assist PAWS. If you are looking for just a few hours for a class, club, etc., please contact the shelter and ask for Lindsay, to schedule these hours and see if work is available at this time.

When arriving, please enter by ringing the bell at the 'Animal Receiving/Surrender' door, located at the left side of the building by the tall flag pole.

**For court-ordered community service, please contact the shelter at 615-898-7740 for more info. Hours completed in this program do not count towards court-ordered needs.**
