Volunteers are a vital part of life here at PAWS. They provide undivided attention to the animals, help staff around the office and more. To join the PAWS Volunteer Program, you must sign up to attend one orientation class, along with completing required forms (forms & details below). Orientations generally last no longer than an hour. *Please note: Those under 18 years of age must be accompanied by their parent(s) or legal guardian(s) at the orientation AND at all times when volunteering. A parent of a friend, grandparent or older sibling would not be acceptable as accompaniment when volunteering at PAWS, unless they are guardians appointed by the courts.

This program is designed for those wanting to regularly assist at PAWS. If you are looking for temporary opportunities, i.e., a few hours for a class, club, etc. or want to schedule a group service project, please contact the shelter and ask for the volunteer coordinator, to schedule these hours and see if work is available at this time.

**For court-ordered community service, please contact the shelter at 615-898-7740 (may need to leave a message) for more info. Hours completed in this program do not count towards court-ordered needs.**
